Reprinting the First Edition of the Urantia Book

Key Information from Urantia Foundation’s Declaration of Trust

In January of 1950 Urantia Foundation was formed and five trustees assumed all authority over, and responsibility for, the preservation of the unaltered text of the proposed Urantia Book. A Declaration of Trust was formulated by Urantia Foundation as a founding organizational document and approved by the revelators. The principle duties of the trusties are to protect the inviolate text, as clearly defined by the following section of Urantia Foundation’s Declaration of Trust:

“ARTICLE III: DUTIES OF TRUSTEES 3.1. PRESERVATION OF TEXT OF The Urantia Book: It shall be the primary duty of the Trustees to perpetually preserve inviolate the text of The Urantia Book, and the Trustees shall use and employ such means, methods, and facilities and apply and expend as much of the Trust Estate as in the judgment of the Trustees shall be necessary, proper, or appropriate, for the preserving and the safekeeping of copies of the original text of The Urantia Book, duly authenticated by the Trustees, from loss, damage, or destruction and from alteration, modification, revision, or change in any manner or in any particular.”
